Ultra Eyes Blue/silver/black material (1/4 inch pair)
UV resin Clear uv resin (Head, built in layers)
How to tie it
Lay a short thread base on the front third of the shank. The whole fly is tied at the head.
Cut a small pinch of white polar bear Predator Fibres, fold it so the ends taper, and tie it in as the belly, extending well past the bend.
Tie a small pinch of red poly bear underneath as the throat (it gets pulled back and tucked in later).
Veil a few strands of fine pearl Crystal Flash around the white belly so it reads scaly in the water.
Take a sparse bunch of pale olive Cashmere Monkey with tapered ends and split it in half; tie one half on the far top corner and one on the near top corner, stacking them for profile.
Repeat with the black Cashmere Monkey over the top corners, the darker primary color stacks over the olive so the synthetic blends into a baitfish back.
Pull the white belly and red throat back together and bind them so the throat tucks up under the wing; everything should taper as one.
Top with two or three strands of Gaula/green blend flash running the full length to the tail tip.
Whip finish, then build the head in layers of UV resin: set the 1/4 inch blue Ultra Eyes with the narrow pupil facing forward, cure one side at a time, and keep adding thin resin coats top, bottom and behind the eyes until you have a solid, realistic head profile. Cure hard.
