How to tie it
Seat the 5/32-inch copper slotted tungsten bead on the size 8 jig hook and start the olive dun thread behind it.
Tie in about ten inches of small copper wire along the top of the shank, back to the bend.
Tie in a plume of olive dun blood-quill marabou at the bend for a tail a bit longer than the shank. Keep it sparse; leeches should be long and thin, not bulky.
Tie in two strands of magnum copper holographic Flashabou side by side; wrap to the rear and then forward again for a smooth, even body, and half hitch behind the bead.
Counter-wrap the copper wire forward hand-over-hand to armor the body; tie off behind the bead.
Spin a sparse pinch of UV2 Seal-X in a dubbing loop or on a wire, brush it out, and take one or two turns behind the bead as a collar, sweeping the fibers rearward.
Tie off, whip finish behind the bead, and add head cement or resin.
Brush the collar back so the fibers veil the flashy copper underbody.
