Antron dubbing (thorax) Dark gray antron dubbing (small amount)
UV resin (Solarez) Clear uv resin (1 drop at post base)
How to tie it
Start the thread on the size 14 continuous-curve hook and dress the shank down into the bend.
Cut a length of New Dub in half for easier handling and tie one piece in at the rear by its very tip to keep bulk down.
Build a slight thread taper over the front half of the shank.
Wrap the New Dub forward in touching turns for a fine, buggy body; tie off short of the eye.
Tie in the foam parachute post on top where the body ends, clip the stub short, and stand it upright with a few wraps around its base. Foam posts need very little.
Size a grizzly saddle hackle to the hook, strip the base, and tie the bare stem in at the post.
Dub a thin thorax of dark gray Antron - Antron floats where rabbit dubbing would sink.
Coat the thread base of the post with uncured UV resin, wind the hackle down the post into it, then hit it with the UV light to lock everything. No whip finish needed on the hackle.
Saw the tying thread off against your scissor blade and trim the post to length.
