Start the Dark Brown thread and lay a base down into the bend.
Cut a length of Medium Olive Vinyl Rib. Warm and stretch the end so it thins, then snip it to a fine point. Tie it in at the rear catching only the point, so there is no bulk at the back and the body can taper.
Tie in the Green Mylar red side up (green shows once wrapped) and wind it forward as an underbody. The turns need not touch; you just want bright green colour underneath. Tie off.
Wind the Medium Olive Vinyl Rib forward round side up, leaving a little space between turns so the Green Mylar shows through. Tie it off with plenty of turns so it cannot come undone.
Dub a small band of Olive/Brown Ice Dubbing right behind where the collar will sit.
Prepare the Mink Dubbing: pull guard hairs from the pelt, line up the tips and strip out all the underfur.
Tie in the Silver Wire, fold it back, half hitch, and rub dubbing wax on the wire so the fur does not slide. Lay the mink across, cut it to length and spin the wire into a fur brush.
Take one turn of the brush, then pull the fibres back as you continue. Tie the wire off with a couple of good turns. Pull excess fur off the top so the collar is heavier underneath as a beard with the Ice Dubbing showing through.
Whip finish and coat the head with UV Bone Dry, then cure.
