Vinyl rib (V-rib) Medium olive material (1 length, body)
Uni Mylar Green (gold/red reverse) (1 strand, underbody)
Ice Dub Olive brown ice dub (Small band under the collar)
Mink guard hair Dark brown mink guard hair (Small bunch, collar)
Wire (Extra fine, collar brush core)
Solarez Bone Dry (Head)
How to tie it
Start the dark brown 6/0 and lay a base around the bend.
Cut the end of the vinyl rib into a long fine point (warming it lets it stretch thinner) and tie it in at the rear by that point, catching just the tip so the back of the body stays slim and tapered.
Tie in the Uni Mylar with the green side facing out when wrapped, and wind it forward as a bright underbody. The turns don't have to touch; you just want green glow underneath. Tie off.
Wind the vinyl rib forward round-side-up with a little space between turns so the Mylar glints through; tie it off very securely.
Dub a small band of olive brown Ice Dub right behind where the collar will sit.
Prepare the collar: clean a small bunch of dark mink guard hair (all underfur out, tips lined up). Tie in the extra-fine wire folded back over itself, wax it, lay the hair across, and spin a sparse fur brush.
Take a turn or two of the brush behind the eye, pulling the hair back as you wrap; tie the wire off with a couple of good turns. Pull any excess off the top so the collar is a beard-heavy veil with the Ice Dub showing through.
Whip finish and coat the head with Bone Dry, curing with the torch.
