Craft fur, barred Barred tan/brown (or draw bars on tan with a marker) (Several bunches, wing and collar)

Solarez Bone Dry UV resin (Head and eye coat)
How to tie it
Coat the shank with the yellow 3/0. Tie the 40 lb mono in along the top of the shank, bind it down around the bend a good way, then wrap back up tight. The front end gets flattened with pliers, measured against the hook point, and trimmed now, to be tied in under the head at the end.
Tail: tie in a bunch of white Extra Select craft fur at the rear (underfur mostly removed. Use two or three smaller bunches rather than one big one), then a chartreuse bunch on top with some underfur left in so it flares.
Tie a strand of pearl Lateral Scale along each side: leave a quarter-inch butt, then fold it forward over the tie-in wraps and bind, so it's locked over itself and can't pull out.
Top the tail with soft rusty olive Angel Hair, about tail length, letting some veil over the top.
Tie in the first bunch of barred craft fur on top as a wing, butts bound down.
Tie in the fire orange Palmer chenille and take several wraps forward at mid-body for the hot underglow; tie off well.
Add two more staggered bunches of barred craft fur on top, each about a quarter-inch ahead of the last, trimming butts so the body doesn't lump.
Invert the hook and tie in a sparse white craft fur belly so the orange still glows through.
Collar: comb out more barred craft fur, tie one patch reverse-style (tips forward over the eye) on the bottom and one on top. Fold the collar back, pack it rearward with a hair packer, and build up a head with the flat thread.
Invert again and catch the flattened end of the mono weed guard in under the head at the eye; bind it down with half hitches and whip finish.
Coat the head with Bone Dry, put a touch on the folded collar too and hold it swept back while curing so it keeps its shape. Stick a 3/8" Mirage eye on each side and lock them in with another coat of resin.
