Tyer Recipe

  • Hook Jig hook, slotted tungsten bead, #12-16
  • Thread Olive 8/0

Materials

  • Bead Gold or black bead (1 slotted tungsten)
  • Body Caddis green (Dubbing or fritz)
  • Rib Gold middle (Fine wire)
  • Collar Brown permanent marker (Dubbing or soft hackle)

How to tie it

  1. Slide a slotted bead to the eye and start thread behind it.
  2. Wrap thread to the bend and build a bright green caddis-larva body up the shank.
  3. Counter-rib with fine gold wire and tie off.
  4. Dub or wind a small collar behind the bead.
  5. Build a thread dam behind the bead.
  6. Whip finish behind the bead.
