How to tie it
Slide the bead to the eye, wrap.020 lead over the whole shank, and cover it with thread so the finished fly can't roll.
Tie in a split tail: lay one ginger goose biot on each top rear corner of the shank, curves pointing out, and use a soft turn of thread between them to keep the splay.
Tie in the Swannundaze at the rear, flat side up so the rounded face shows when wrapped. Half hitch.
Dub the custom blend into a buggy abdomen with a slight forward taper, up to about the 60% point of the shank.
Wind the Swannundaze forward in even open turns so both rib and dubbing show; tie off.
Cut a rubber leg in half with the tips lined up and lash one piece along each side pointing back, these wiggle in the current.
Tie in a 1/8" strip of chewy skin flat on top for the wing case, then tie in the fine silver wire and spin a thick dubbing brush of the same blend, plucking it out so long fibers stand free.
Wrap the brush forward over the thorax to behind the bead; tie off. Stretch the remaining rubber leg halves in, one each side at the thorax.
Tie two more goose biots in right behind the bead as antennae, curving out and slightly upward. Pull the chewy skin over the thorax. It stretches a mile, and tie it back over itself behind the bead. Whip finish.
Brush the dubbing out with a wire brush, then hit the wing case and head with UV resin and cure.
