Start the copper Nano Silk and tie in the narrow anti-static bag strip down around the bend.
Build a thin, tapered chironomid body with the thread itself, working up and down the shank. Take your time; the flat Nano Silk lays beautifully smooth.
Coat the thread body with a thin layer of Solarez Bone Dry and cure it. This underbody coat is what the rib will bed into.
Wrap the anti-static bag strip forward in open, even turns with a slight downward pull on each wrap so it seats into the coating without flattening, and tie off. The rib now stands raised and shiny above the body instead of lying flat.
Apply a second very thin coat of Solarez over the top and cure, locking the raised rib in place.
Tie in a small tuft of white Antron at the head and trim it short for the gills.
Tie in a peacock herl by the butt and take a couple of turns behind the gills for the thorax. Tie off.
