How to tie it
Slide the fluorescent chartreuse slotted bead onto the jig hook and seat it. Start the black thread and lock the brassie black wire along the shank, wrapping to the bend so it is anchored solidly.
Strip the fluff from a black marabou blood quill, peel a modest clump from the side, and tie in a slender tail about one shank-length at the bend. Leeches get overdressed easily; less is more. Bind the butts forward to the bead and trim.
Tie in two strands of black Magnum Holographic Flashabou behind the bead.
Wrap the Flashabou to the rear and back to the front, front to back to front gives a level, fully covered body. Tie off behind the bead and half-hitch.
Check no marabou fibres are trapped forward, then reverse-wrap the black brassie wire forward in open turns to reinforce the body. Tie off.
Take a small pinch of UV2 Seal-X, trap it between the thread and the remaining wire, and spin it into a short dubbing brush (or use a dubbing loop).
Wrap the Seal-X brush as a sparse collar behind the bead (one turn behind, snugged up tight) keeping it thin so the holographic body still shows through.
Tie off the wire and thread, whip finish, and glue the head with resin or cement.
Brush the collar fibres out and back with a stiff brush.
