How to tie it
Slide the 5/32" brown magic slotted bead onto the jig hook, rotate it so the slot is not exposed underneath, and lock it forward with thread wraps behind it.
Dress the shank back to the bend above the barb point.
Tie in a few strands of pearl red Krystal Flash at the bend as a short tail.
Tie in the 0.1mm silver wire, folded back over itself, and leave it at the rear for the collar brush.
Tie in the brown Ice Straggle Chenille at the rear and wrap it forward to behind the bead, preening the translucent legs out of each turn as you go so they stand off the body like a hackle. Tie off.
Cut a small bunch of hare's mask guard hair close to the skin, keeping the tips aligned (stack if needed) and trim the butts even.
Run a little dubbing wax along the wire, lay the hair tips in, and spin the wire into a hair brush (a dubbing loop or dubbing block does the same job).
Wrap the hair brush as a collar behind the bead, sweeping the fibres back with each turn. Trim shorter for a nymph look or leave it long, almost to the bend, for a buggier version.
Build a small red thread head, whip finish with several good turns, and add head cement.
