Slide the 5/32" Brown Magic slotted bead onto the jig hook and turn it so the slot is not exposed on the bottom. Start the 8/0 Red thread and take good wraps ahead of the bead to hold it forward.
Run the thread back to the tail tie-in point, dressing the shank lightly as you go.
Tie in a few strands of Pearl Red Krystal Flash at the rear for the tail.
Tie in the Brown Ice Straggle and wrap it forward to behind the bead, preening the legs out of each turn so they stand off the body like a hackle. Tie off.
Tie in the 0.1mm Bright Silver Wire at the front for the collar brush; the extra fine wire is right for this, small is too heavy.
Cut a small bunch of guard hair from the Hares Mask Hair close to the skin, keeping the tips aligned (stack it if needed), and trim the butts even.
Run a little dubbing wax along the wire so the hair does not fall out while spinning. Lay the hair tips in, spin the wire into a brush, and wrap it as a collar behind the bead, preening the fibres back with each turn. Trim it fairly short for a nymph version, or leave it longer, nearly to the bend, for a buggier collar.
Take a couple of turns of red thread for the head, add head cement if you like, and whip finish.
