Polar chenille, UV (or large Crystal Hackle in fl. fuchsia) Chartreuse polar chenille uv (1 length)
Epoxy or UV resin Clear uv resin (over head and eyes)
How to tie it
Start the thread at the front of the shank. Clip a pair of bead chain eyes free and tie them in right at the front with firm X-wraps, then take wraps underneath to tighten. A drop of cement here is a good idea.
Gather a generous bunch of barred black/chartreuse blood quill marabou and tie it in at the bend as a long tail, longer than the shank. Add a little more than looks right; it slims dramatically when wet.
At the rear, dub a small ball of UV pink Ice Dub. This ball props the next material so it flares into more of an envelope.
Dub holographic chartreuse Ice Dub onto the thread and wrap it just ahead of the ball, sweeping the fibres back so they separate around the pink.
Tie in the chartreuse UV polar chenille ahead of that and wrap it forward in touching turns to the eyes, stroking fibres back each turn.
Tie off behind and around the bead chain eyes and whip finish.
Coat the thread work between and around the eyes with epoxy or UV resin for durability.
Pick the body out with a bodkin so the dubbing and chenille blend and breathe.
