Slide two extra-small white glass beads onto the swimming nymph hook before mounting it in the vise. Push one to the eye; the second will sit at mid-shank between the two bodies.
Start the thread on the rear half of the shank, keeping wraps sparse so you do not change the underbody color.
Tie in the wine holographic tinsel at the mid-point, then tie in two strands of fluorescent smoke buzzer wrap.
Wind the buzzer wrap in slim touching turns down into the rear bend and back, forming the slender rear chironomid body. Tie off.
Rib the rear body with wide, subtle turns of the wine holographic tinsel and tie off. Whip finish and trap the mid-shank bead in place. This is the rear midge's head.
Re-position the hook, restart the thread on the front half, and repeat: tie in tinsel and buzzer wrap, wind a slender tapered front body, and rib with wide turns of the wine holographic.
Whip finish behind the front bead at the eye.
Optionally coat both bodies with Solarez Bone Dry and cure for durability.
