Collar Dark Brown Squirrel Dub blended with Semperfli Claret Sparkle Dubbing
How to tie it
Slide the Togens 1/8 Hot Pink Slotted Tungsten bead onto the jig hook, small end forward. Start the 6/0 Purple thread and dress the shank with a slight taper at the front.
Pull a few straight Black Pheasant Rump Fibres from the hackle and measure them at a shank length. Tie them in at the rear for the tail, run the butts all the way up to the bead to thicken the body, then wrap back over them to build the taper.
Tie in the Togens Blue/Black Chirony Skin at the rear.
Tie in a short piece of Semperfli Purple Micro Glint Tinsel, catching it in only at the rear so it adds no lumps along the shank.
Wrap the Chirony Skin forward to the bead and tie off, then rib forward with the Micro Glint as a purple accent and tie off.
Form a dubbing loop behind the bead. Lay the Dark Brown Squirrel Dub blended with Semperfli Claret Sparkle Dubbing straight up the loop, pull off any excess that looks thick, and spin it tight.
Brush the spun loop out with a wire brush, then wrap it at the front so the fibres come off perpendicular as a collar. Tie off when you have enough.
Cover the exposed bead slot with thread as you whip finish, and add a dab of head cement or Solarez.
