How to tie it
Slide the hot pink slotted tungsten bead onto the jig hook, small end forward, and seat it at the eye. Start the purple thread behind it and dress the shank, building a slight taper toward the front.
Strip a few straight fibres from a black pheasant rump hackle, measure them one shank-length long, and tie them in at the bend for the tail. Bind the butts all the way forward to the bead to thicken the body, then wrap back over them to smooth the taper.
Tie in the blue/black Chirony Skin at the rear.
Tie in a length of purple Micro Glint tinsel at the rear, catching it only at the tie-in point so it adds no bulk to the shank.
Wrap the Chirony Skin forward in touching turns to the bead and tie it off, then spiral the Micro Glint forward as an open rib and tie it off. A thin coat of Solarez over the body now, cured with the UV light, makes it far more durable.
Form a dubbing loop behind the bead. Wax lightly, load it with the blended dark brown squirrel and claret sparkle dubbing, and spin it tight.
Wrap the spun loop as a collar directly behind the bead so the fibres stand out perpendicular, tie off, and brush the collar out with a wire brush.
Cover the exposed bead slot with thread wraps, whip finish behind the bead, and add a drop of head cement or Solarez.
