Tyer Recipe

  • Hook Jig hook, slotted tungsten bead, #10-14
  • Thread Olive 8/0

Materials

  • Bead Gold bead (1 slotted tungsten)
  • Tail Olive ostrich herl (Marabou or Coq de Leon)
  • Body Olive ostrich herl (Dubbing)
  • Rib Gold middle (Fine wire)
  • Collar Olive ostrich herl (Dubbing)

How to tie it

  1. Slide a slotted bead to the eye and start thread behind it.
  2. Tie in a mobile olive tail at the bend.
  3. Dub a tapered olive body up the shank and rib with fine wire.
  4. Dub a buggy collar behind the bead.
  5. Build a thread dam behind the bead.
  6. Whip finish behind the bead.
