How to tie it
Slide the large silver bead to the eye and wrap 10 turns of 0.020 lead behind it to lock it and add weight; start the red thread behind the lead.
Cut a pinch of chartreuse rabbit hair from the magnum strip, remove the underfur, and tie it in at the bend; set a pinch of silver doctor blue on top. A two-tone tail with no flash.
Tie in the extra-small silver wire at the rear, folded back over itself so it can't pull out.
Wax the wire, load it with silver holographic Ice Dub, and spin a small brush; wrap it forward as a bright shaggy underbody, stopping a quarter-inch behind the bead, preening fibers back as you go.
Tie in the small red wire (again folded back over itself).
On the dubbing table (or in a loop), lay out a blend of chartreuse and silver doctor blue rabbit hair, a little of each color at either end with a mix in the middle, and spin it in the red wire; the thicker wire jams the hair out perpendicular.
Wrap the hair brush forward, folding the material back with each turn, and snug the last turn down hard so it jams tight behind the bead and flares.
Tie off the wire, whip finish behind the bead, and cement.
