How to tie it
Dress the shank with thread, then tie in the mylar at the rear, gold side up so it flips to silver when wrapped.
Tie in the 12-inch green wire and lay the fox/ice-dub blend across it (dubbing table, loop, or whirl all work); spin it into a dubbing brush.
Wrap the brush forward from the rear to form a full, tapered body, tie off well, and take a half hitch.
Rib the body with wide open turns of the mylar, silver side out, and tie it off.
Pick the body out thoroughly with a brush so the fibers veil the silver rib. Translucent and scaly is the goal.
Fold a clump of mirage opal polar flash around the thread and tie it in on top as the underwing.
Stack the wing: sparse green super hair on top, then lay pink in behind/underneath it as the lateral tone, then dark blue on top. Small bunches only (super hair is slippery and pulls out in big clumps), each cut with a tapered end.
Whip finish, then coat the head with thin Bone Dry resin, letting it wick into the hair, and cure with the UV lamp.
Stick a medium tape eye on each side, tack them with a drop of resin, and build up the head with further thin resin coats, curing between coats.
