Tyer Recipe
- Hook curved streamer/scud hook, #8-12
- Thread Maroon/Red 8/0
Materials
- Bead (optional) Black or copper slotted tungsten bead (1)
- Marabou tail Blood red/maroon (1 tuft)
- Dubbing body Blood red/maroon
- Wire rib Copper wire
How to tie it
- Slide a bead to the eye if used; start thread and cover the front two-thirds of the shank.
- At a point above the barb, tie in a marabou tail about one shank-length long.
- Tie in a length of fine copper wire for the rib at the tail base.
- Dub a slightly tapered body forward to just behind the bead.
- Counter-rib the wire forward in 5-6 evenly spaced turns; tie off and trim.
- Build a small dubbed collar behind the bead.
- Whip finish behind the bead.
