- Hook Jig hook, slotted tungsten bead, #14-18
- Thread Black 8/0
Materials
- Bead Black or gold bead (1 slotted tungsten)
- Tail Black ostrich herl (Dyed pheasant tail fibers)
- Abdomen Black ostrich herl (Dyed pheasant tail fibers)
- Rib Copper thorax stripe (Fine wire)
- Thorax Black ostrich herl (Peacock or dubbing)
How to tie it
- Slide a slotted bead to the eye and start thread behind it.
- Tie in black pheasant tail fibers for a short tail at the bend.
- Wrap the fibers forward to form the abdomen and rib with copper wire.
- Build a black thorax behind the bead.
- Build a thread dam behind the bead.
- Whip finish behind the bead.
