Reference Recipe
- Hook 2XL streamer/wet hook, 8-10
- Thread Black 6/0
Materials
- Bead Gold bead (1, sized to hook)
- Tail Black ostrich herl (1 marabou plume)
- Flash Pearl flashabou (4-6 Krystal Flash strands)
- Body Black ostrich herl (medium chenille)
- Hackle Black hackle (1 saddle, palmered)
- Legs Chartreuse/white barred rubber legs (2-3 pairs silicone legs)
How to tie it
- Slide the gold bead to the eye, mount the hook, and start thread behind the bead.
- At the bend tie in a marabou tail one shank length long, then add the pearl flash to match.
- Bind in a saddle hackle by the tip and a length of chenille at the tail.
- Wrap the chenille forward in touching turns to just behind the bead and tie off.
- Palmer the hackle forward over the body in 5-6 evenly spaced turns and secure behind the bead.
- Fold two to three pairs of silicone legs along each side and figure-8 them so they splay out low.
- Build a small collar, whip finish behind the bead, and add a drop of cement.
