How to tie it
Slide a gold 3.8mm slotted tungsten bead onto a size 12 jig hook and seat it, then add a few wraps of.020 lead-free wire and shove them up into the bead slot to add weight and profile.
Start camel thread behind the wire, lay a thread base back to the bend and forward again to clean up the underbody.
Tie in six to ten Coq de Leon fibers a shank-length long for the tail; bind the butts up to the bead for a tapered base and trim.
Tie in medium copper wire just past the lead so the body keeps its taper.
Dub a natural hare's-ear noodle and wrap it forward, building the abdomen a little more robust as you go, stopping at about the 75–80% point.
Counter-wrap the copper wire forward in a few evenly segmented turns and helicopter off the excess.
Dub a short, buggy brown-sugar thorax, pick it out with a bodkin, add a couple of thread wraps behind the bead and whip finish.
