How to tie it
Start the thread and run it back to just in front of the hook point; tie in a thinned golden pheasant breast feather tip for the tail so its natural curve rides up and it sits about a gap-length long, then smooth the butts down to make an even underbody.
Tie in wine/red Ultra Wire for the rib along the near side.
Dub a fairly heavy, buggy claret STS Trilobal body up the shank, stopping short of the eye to leave room for the wing, hackle and a turle knot or riffle hitch.
Counter-wrap the wire rib forward in five to seven evenly spaced turns for segmentation, twist and break off the excess, then pick out the dubbing to rough it up.
Tie in a sparse black arctic fox wing (underfur removed) on top, about a shank length long, with a couple of firm wraps.
Fold a few strands of black Crystal Flash around the thread down each side and trim so they blend into the wing.
Tie in a claret guinea feather by the tip, fold the fibers back, and take two or three wraps as a collar; tie off.
Build a small tapered head, whip finish and cement.
