- Thread Brown 8/0 (70 denier)
Materials
- Bead Gold bead (Tungsten or brass, sized to hook)
- Underweight Lead (6-8 turns fine lead wire (optional))

How to tie it
- Slide the gold bead to the eye and mount the hook.
- Behind the bead add a few turns of lead wire for weight and shove them into the bead, then start thread.
- Catch in the fine gold wire at the bend for the rib.
- Dub a slim caddis-green abdomen forward over the back two-thirds of the shank.
- Counter-wrap the wire rib forward in 5-6 evenly spaced turns and tie off, counter-wrapping protects the soft body.
- Dub a fuller brown thorax up to the bead and pick it out for legs.
- Wrap one turn of brown partridge as a soft-hackle collar, whip finish behind the bead and cement.
