Classic Recipe

  • Hook Saltwater hook, 1/0-4
  • Thread Chartreuse/white 3/0

Materials

  • Tail Saddle hackle (4-6 feathers)
  • Flash Krystal Flash (8-10 strands)
  • Body Estaz or Crystal Chenille (wrapped)
  • Head Deer hair (spun and clipped to slider shape)
  • Eyes Prismatic stick-on (1 pair)
  • Weed guard Heavy mono (1 loop)

How to tie it

  1. Mount hook, tie in saddle hackle tail
  2. Add flash
  3. Wrap Estaz body
  4. Spin deer hair head, clip to flat slider shape
  5. Add eyes
  6. Add weed guard
  7. Whip finish
