Thread Golden yellow / brown-olive / golden chartreuse (to match body) 120 denier (Semperfli Nano Silk) / 6/0
Materials
Bead Tungsten bead, gold/copper (1, sized to hook)
Body Soft translucent dubbing or Semperfli translucent body material (over rear two-thirds)
Rib Fine wire (1 length)
Thorax Soft, buggy dubbing (darker) (small pinch)
Legs/collar Soft-hackle or picked-out dubbing (sparse)
How to tie it
Slide a tungsten bead onto the curved hook and start thread behind it.
Dub or wind a soft, translucent body over the rear two-thirds of the shank, keeping it slim and slightly loose so it flows in the current (this soft body is what gives the fly its lifelike movement).
Counter-rib with fine wire for segmentation and durability, then tie off.
Dub a slightly darker, buggier thorax up to the bead, picking out fibres for legs, or wind a sparse soft-hackle collar.
Whip finish behind the bead and add a drop of cement.
