How to tie it
Start thread behind the eye and wind a very slim, thread-thin baetis body back to the bend, keeping it sparse (baetis nymphs are skinny).
Build a small bright 'hot spot' on the underside/belly rather than at the head, using fluorescent thread or dubbing. This is the pattern's signature attraction point that replaces a bright bead.
Counter-rib the body with fine contrasting wire for segmentation and durability, then tie off.
Dub a small, slightly darker thorax up to the eye (add a flash or dark wingcase over it if desired).
Build a small thread head, whip finish and add a drop of cement.
