Standard Recipe

  • Hook Curved/emerger hook, 14-20
  • Thread Olive or brown 8/0

Materials

  • Trailing shuck Z-Lon or Antron (short)
  • Body Dubbing to match (slender)
  • Thorax Peacock herl or dubbing (fuller than body)
  • Wing CDC puff or poly yarn (small)

How to tie it

  1. Mount curved hook, start thread at bend
  2. Tie in trailing shuck material
  3. Dub slender body forward to thorax area
  4. Build thorax with peacock or dubbing
  5. Tie in wing material, CDC or poly
  6. Whip finish
