Classic Recipe

• Hook Short-shank wide-gape stillwater hook (Kamasan B110/B175), 8-10
• Thread Match body 8/0

Materials

• Eyes Closed-cell foam booby eyes (1 pair, medium)
• Tail Marabou (matching) (one shank length)
• Body Semperfli Straggle String / UV straggle chenille (1 length)

How to tie it

1. Tie in the foam booby eyes at the head with figure-8 wraps and round the ends.
2. Run the thread to the bend and tie in a marabou tail one shank length long.
3. Tie in the straggle string at the bend.
4. Wind the straggle forward in touching turns to the eyes, teasing the fibres out as you go, then figure-8 around the eyes.
5. Whip finish in front of the eyes and varnish.
