Eyes Lead dumbbell or large chrome bead chain (1 pair)
Tail Pearl mylar tubing (core removed) (1 inch)
Body Pearl diamond braid / flat pearl mylar (1 length)
Wing Tan craft fur (a sparse clump)
Flash Pearl Krystal Flash (4-6 strands)
How to tie it
Lay a foundation of pink thread over the shank. Tie in the heavy lead dumbbell (or large chrome bead chain) about a third of the way back from the eye with figure-8 wraps. The heavier eyes are the key to the Deep version, sinking the fly fast to bonefish in deeper water.
At the bend, tie in a 1-inch section of pearl mylar tubing with the core removed, leaving about a half inch trailing as the tail.
Tie in the pearl diamond braid at the bend and wrap it forward over the shank to just behind the eyes, then figure-8 around the eyes. Tie off and trim.
Turn the fly over and tie in a sparse tan craft fur wing on the hook-point-up side so it lies over the back, one-and-a-half shank lengths long.
Add 4-6 strands of pearl Krystal Flash over the wing as a veil.
Build the signature pink thread head (imitating a shrimp egg sac), whip finish and coat with UV resin or head cement.
