Pseudo hair / craft fur wing Sand or tan synthetic fiber (sparse clump)
Crazy Legs Barred bonefish tan (3 strands)

How to tie it
Start pink thread and tie in medium bead chain eyes a little less than halfway back from the hook eye (about two to three hook-eye lengths back) so the fly rides balanced in the middle; lock them with figure-eight wraps and add a drop of super glue so they can't roll.
Tie in medium red D-Rib at the eyes and wrap the thread back over it to the bend, building a smooth thread base but letting a little pink show through.
Wrap the D-Rib forward in touching turns to just behind the eyes to form a segmented body, tie it off, then advance the thread past the eyes and let the D-Rib hang off the front out of the way.
Invert the hook. Just behind the eyes tie in a sparse clump of sand pseudo hair with the butt fibers cleaned out, measured about 1.5 shank lengths long, working it around the hook point and figure-eighting it so it sits centered between the eyes rather than back along the body.
Tie in three barred tan Crazy Legs by their midpoint at the eyes, then fold the front halves back over so you finish with six legs splayed to the sides.
Tie in medium pearl Cactus Chenille by its stripped thread core just ahead of the eyes; take one wrap behind all the material to prop the wing up, then two or three wraps around the eyes to build the head and capture it.
Pull the D-Rib forward over the top to the head, tie it down and trim, then whip finish.
Trim the legs a touch shorter than the wing, give the chenille head a light haircut if it pokes out, and coat the head thread with brush-on super glue.
