How to tie it
Start the thread at the eye and wrap back about 18 turns.
Tie on large bead chain or 5/32 dumbbell eyes: about 12 wraps to lock, 15 to 20 under the eye, then a few cross wraps so they do not spin.
Tie in 15 to 20 strands of shrimp pink Crystal Flash right behind the eyes, wrap back and down the bend so it tips up (the fly rides hook point up), pull it back and cut it even with the eyes.
Return the thread to the eyes and tie in pink diamond braid, wrapping the thread down to the bend without worrying about a smooth base.
Bring the thread in front of the eyes and make a half hitch, then palmer the braid forward in even stacked wraps, figure-eight the eyes, take one extra turn in front, drop the bobbin and lift it to trap the braid, and clip it off in front.
Cut about half an inch of natural magnum cut zonker strip, pull the fibres out straight, cut tight to the hide and trim even.
Invert the fly so the hook point is up, bring the thread back close to the eyes, and tie the rabbit in with one or two light wraps, checking that a little thread colour shows in front of the material.
Wrap the thread back toward the eyes to build a head; the thread slides and forms an even head that traps the loose fibres.
Place a couple of silver rubber legs, one each side, symmetrically between two fingers and tie them in, covering the bump with thread.
Double a couple of strands of Crystal Flash and tie them in over the top.
Spin the thread to the left to flatten it, add a few cover wraps and whip finish.
Coat the thread head with Loon UV acrylic and cure; trim the legs to about twice the hook length and cut the Crystal Flash a little uneven.
