  • Hook 1XL nymph/wet hook, 12-8
  • Thread Black 6/0

Materials

  • Bead Gold or black bead (1)
  • Tail Chartreuse/white material (Marabou tuft)
  • Body Chartreuse arctic fox (Chenille or ice dubbing)
  • Legs Barred rubber legs (2-4 rubber legs)
  • Hackle Grizzly hackle (1 soft feather)

How to tie it

  1. Slide a bead to the eye, mount the hook, and start black thread behind it.
  2. Wind to the barb and tie in a short chartreuse or white marabou tail, about half a shank long.
  3. Tie in chenille or spin ice dubbing and wrap a plump body forward to the 70% mark.
  4. Add a pair of barred rubber legs on each side, splayed to kick on the pause.
  5. Wind a grizzly hen hackle 2-3 turns as a soft collar behind the bead and sweep it back.
  6. Whip finish behind the bead and cement.
