Reference Recipe
- Hook Standard dry fly hook, 18-16

Materials
- Tail Blue dun material (Few hackle fibers)
- Body Olive ostrich herl (Olive dry-fly dubbing)
- Wing Dun microfibetts (Slate poly or hackle-tip)
- Hackle Blue dun hackle (1 dry-fly feather)
How to tie it
- Mount the hook and start olive thread at the 75% mark.
- Tie in an upright dun poly or hackle-tip wing and post it with a few thread turns around the base.
- Wind to the barb and tie in a few blue dun fibers for a tail one shank length long.
- Dub a slim olive body forward from the tail to just behind the wing.
- Tie in a blue dun hackle and take 4-5 turns split fore and aft of the wing for a balanced float.
- Whip finish behind the eye and add a tiny drop of cement at the wing base.
