Materials
- Tail Dun microfibetts (Split microfibetts)
- Body Olive ostrich herl (Fine olive dubbing)
- Wing Dun microfibetts (Single upright poly or turkey-flat post)
- Hackle Blue dun hackle (1 dry-fly feather, trimmed underneath)
How to tie it
- Mount the hook and start olive thread, then wind to the barb.
- Split dun microfibetts into a two-fiber V tail one shank length long, propped by a small dubbing ball.
- Dub a slim olive body forward to the 65% mark.
- Post a single upright dun wing at the front third of the shank.
- Wind a blue dun hackle in a thorax style around the wing, then trim the hackle flat underneath so the fly rides low on the film.
- Whip finish at the eye and cement.
