Tyer Recipe

  • Hook jig nymph, 12-16
  • Thread black 8/0

Materials

  • slotted tungsten bead Silver bead (1)
  • coq de leon tail fibers Natural coq de leon fibers (small bunch)
  • ice dub body Blue ice dub (small amount)
  • wire rib Silver wire (body length)

How to tie it

  1. Slide a slotted bead to the eye of the jig hook and start the thread behind it.
  2. Tie in a short coq de leon tail at the bend.
  3. Tie in the wire rib, then dub a blue ice-dub body forward to the bead.
  4. Counter-wrap the wire rib in even turns and tie off.
  5. Build a small collar behind the bead and whip finish.
