Slide the 2.4 mm slotted tungsten bead onto a size 12 jig hook with the slot sitting around the bend. Take four or five wraps of .015 lead behind it and push them forward to lock the bead.
Start black 70-denier thread and run it back to the start of the bend.
Tail: take about a third of a marabou plume, set it a little longer than the shank, tie in with a couple of tight wraps and one more at the rear. Use the remaining marabou to smooth the underbody with loose wraps forward to the lead, then snip the fluff and cover the white with thread.
Catch in the wire (Brassie size) along the whole length of the shank, then bring the thread forward, stopping short of the bead to leave room for the thorax.
Wrap the wire forward in touching turns almost to the bead; lay the tag flat and take a few wraps over it before snipping.
Thorax: dub the ice dub fairly thick and wind it up to the bead.
Put a drop of super glue on the thread near the hook, take two or three wraps, then a three-turn whip finish. Pick out or trim any excess ice dub.
