Materials

  • Body McFly Foam Orange/Red (from Clown Color Pack)
  • Other Modified pen cap

How to tie it

  1. Start the red thread in the middle of the hook shank with only a couple of wraps, then trim the tag.
  2. Lay the McFly foam across the thread point with the red strand on top and the orange strands underneath, about an eighth of an inch sticking out.
  3. Take two loose wraps over the foam, then pull the thread down firmly.
  4. Take two wraps behind the foam and two up front, then whip finish.
  5. Pull the foam out of the pen cap about twice the length wanted, and cut it straight across in the centre.
  6. Fluff the egg round with your fingers; the red sits on top as the blood dot.
