  • Hook Salmon/steelhead dry, 2XL, #4-8
  • Thread White 6/0

Materials

  • Tail White uni stretch (Calf tail)
  • Body Tan/blonde (Spun and clipped deer hair)
  • Palmer hackle Brown hackle (1 feather)
  • Wing White uni stretch (Calf tail, forward-facing)

How to tie it

  1. Start thread and tie in a white calf tail tail at the bend.
  2. Tie in a brown hackle by the tip at the bend for palmering.
  3. Spin and pack light deer hair up the shank, then clip to a cigar shape.
  4. Palmer the brown hackle forward through the clipped body and tie off.
  5. Tie in a forward-slanting white calf tail wing at the head.
  6. Whip finish behind the eye.
