Classic Recipe

• Hook Wide-gape wet-fly / competition hook, 8-10
• Thread Yellow/orange 8/0

Materials

• Tail (buoyancy) 3/16 in foam post (1)
• Body Sunburst (fluoro orange/yellow) Jelly Fritz (1 length)

How to tie it

1. Lay a thread base and tie in a split foam post at the bend as a buoyant tail; trim the stub.
2. Strip and tie in sunburst Jelly Fritz ahead of the foam.
3. Wrap the Fritz forward in dense touching turns, wetting and stroking fibers back each turn.
4. Tie off behind the eye, cut with a blade, form a head and whip finish.
