How to tie it
Lay a thread base and tie in a short section of foam post at the bend, split lengthwise and straddling the shank so it sits as a buoyant tail; trim the stub. The foam makes the fly hover point-up.
Strip a short length of cocktail Jelly Fritz to expose the core and tie it in ahead of the foam.
Wrap the Fritz forward in touching turns, wetting and stroking fibers back each turn to build a dense blob.
Tie off behind the eye, cut the Fritz with a blade, build a head and whip finish.
