Tail Matching Fritz fibers (optional) (short tuft)
How to tie it
Lay a thread base the length of the shank.
Optionally leave a few Fritz fibers as a short tail at the bend.
Strip a short length of Fritz to expose the core and tie it in at the bend.
Wrap the Fritz forward in touching turns, wetting your fingers and stroking the fibers rearward after each wrap so the body stays dense and pushes water.
Tie off behind the eye, trim the Fritz with a blade, build a small thread head and whip finish.
