- Hook Curved scud/emerger hook (TMC 2487), 18-22
- Thread Gray 14/0
Materials
- Trailing shuck White uni stretch (White Antron yarn, a few fibers)
- Body UV pink material (UV Pink Ice Dub, thin)
- Rib Copper thorax stripe (Extra-small copper wire)
- Collar White uni stretch (One white ostrich herl)
How to tie it
- Mount the hook and start gray thread, wrapping back around the curve to the bend.
- Tie in a sparse tag of white Antron as a short trailing shuck, no longer than the gap.
- Catch in fine copper wire, then dub a slim UV pink body forward to the 70% mark. Keep it wispy.
- Rib the body with 5-6 open turns of copper wire and helicopter it off.
- Tie in one white ostrich herl by the tip and take 2 turns for a soft, breathing collar.
- Whip finish at the eye and add a tiny drop of cement.
