How to tie it
Wrap.015 weighting wire along nearly the full shank, right up behind the eye, then start black thread with a small dam behind the wire and another in front.
Tie in the ends of one strand of medium red wire and one of silver up front, lay both back parallel along the hook, and bind them down with a thread base to the rear of the shank.
Wrap both wires forward together in touching turns to form the two-tone body, ending a little forward of the underbody weight; secure with several firm wraps and helicopter each wire end off, then bury any sharp stubs with thread.
Stack a small clump of red bucktail and tie it in under the shank as a throat, extending at least to the hook point; a few medium-tension wraps will lay it closer to the hook. Trim the butts close.
Stack a clump of white bucktail and measure it a little past the bend; take two wraps around just the hair, then one around hair and hook, and pull tight so it stays on top. Trim the butts and smooth them over with thread.
Tie a slightly smaller clump of red bucktail directly on top of the white the same way (one wrap around the hair, then around hair and hook) keeping the red on top of the white.
Add optional jungle cock cheeks, one per side.
Trim all butts, build a neat tapered head, whip finish, and cement.
