How to tie it
Slide the 3mm metallic pink tungsten bead on, seat it at the eye, and start black UTC 70 behind it to lock the bead down.
Wind back to the bend and tie in a short tail of Coq de Leon Corzuno Claro about half a shank long. A perdigon tail is silhouette, not motion, so keep it stiff and sparse.
Build the body from black thread alone, winding back and forth to a fine taper thickest just behind the bead. Thread bodies are what make perdigons slim and dense so they punch through current instead of riding it.
Tie in the yellow UV flat tinsel at the rear and wind it forward over the black in touching turns as a body cover, tying off behind the bead. Yellow UV over black gives the dark olive-bronze the fly reads as when wet, plus a UV signature the fish see and you don't.
Add a short collar of orange UTC 70 behind the bead as a hot spot, three or four turns only, then whip finish.
Coat body and hot spot with Classic UV resin and cure while rotating the fly so it sets evenly. The resin shell is what makes it sink fast and shrug off teeth. A perdigon lives on its sink rate.
