Flashabou, holographic Blue flashabou (2 strands per side)
Arizona Simi Seal dubbing Black and blue simi seal (One dubbing loop)
How to tie it
Set a jig hook with a blue tungsten Head Turner bead and start black thread.
Tie in a generous clump of black marabou for the tail. Generous is deliberate, because the tail is where most of the movement lives.
Add a couple of strands of holographic blue Flashabou on either side of the tail. Blue holo against black is a low-light and deep-water combination that shows up when nothing else does.
Spin a dubbing loop filled with black and blue Arizona Simi Seal, twist it hard and brush it out before wrapping.
Wrap the loop forward, preening the fibres rearward with every turn. The more fibres you pull out, the more movement the leech has and the better it looks in the water.
Tie off, whip finish, and give the fly a generous brushing to free every trapped fibre.
