Tail Yellow hackle fibres (barbs from a saddle hackle)
Rib Silver mylar tinsel (silver side toward the hook when tied in)
Body Black floss
Throat Yellow hackle fibres
Wing White marabou
Head Black thread with head cement
How to tie it
Start black thread on a long-shank streamer hook and wind it back to the bend where the tail will go.
Tie in a tail of yellow hackle fibres at the bend.
Tie in the silver mylar tinsel rib with the silver side toward the hook, so it shows silver once wound.
Tie in black floss at the front and wind it down to the tail tie-in and back up to a couple of eye-lengths behind the eye, leaving room for the throat and wing; tie off and trim.
Wind the tinsel rib forward in even open turns and tie it off.
Turn the hook over and tie in a throat of yellow hackle fibres about as long as the tail.
Turn the hook upright and tie in a white marabou feather on top as the wing, trimming the butts close.
Build a neat head, whip finish, and add head cement.
