Body Rear third light-blue-dyed seal fur, front two-thirds black seal fur (2 sections)
Rib Oval silver tinsel (5 turns)
Body hackle Black cock hackle palmered the full length (1)
Throat Light claret hackle (sparse) (1)
Underwing Two golden pheasant tippets veiled with barred teal, wood duck, golden pheasant tail, peacock sword, scarlet ibis and green parrot (married)
Wing Brown barred mallard with golden pheasant crest topping (married)
Cheeks Blue chatterer (1 per side)
Horns Blue and yellow macaw (1 per side)
Head Black lacquer (small)
How to tie it
Form a tag of fine silver tinsel and orange floss, then tie in a golden pheasant crest tail with married slips of barred teal and scarlet ibis over.
Dub the rear third of the body in light-blue seal fur and the front two-thirds in black seal fur, ribbing with oval silver in 5 even turns.
Palmer a black cock hackle over the full body following the rib, the black seal body and black palmer give the 'Black' Dose its dark, mobile profile.
Add a sparse light-claret throat hackle swept down and back.
Build the underwing of two golden pheasant tippets veiled with married teal, wood duck, golden pheasant tail, peacock sword, scarlet ibis and green parrot.
Set brown barred mallard strips as the wing roof and arch a golden pheasant topping over.
Add blue chatterer cheeks and blue-and-yellow macaw horns, then finish with a small black lacquered head.
