Reference Recipe
- Hook Curved emerger hook, 18-24
- Thread Black or olive 8/0 (70 denier)
Materials
- Trailing shuck Amber/brown material (few Antron fibers)
- Body Black, olive, or gray material (1 small biot)
- Thorax Dark permanent marker (fine dubbing or peacock)
- Wing puff White CDC or Z-lon (small tuft)
How to tie it
- Mount the curved hook and start thread at the bend.
- Tie in a short Antron trailing shuck at the bend.
- Tie in a small biot by the tip and wrap it forward to the 70% mark for the segmented body.
- Tie in a small CDC or Z-lon wing puff standing up at the thorax.
- Dub a tiny dark thorax around the wing base to prop it.
- Whip finish a small head behind the eye.
