How to tie it

  1. Mount the 35 mm articulated shank in the vise, start the GSP thread, and build a base along it.
  2. On the shank, tie in a lime bucktail belly and an olive bucktail back with the tips reaching well past the shank, reverse-tying and folding back to control flare; add firetiger Flashabou along the sides and a pair of splayed grizzly-orange/chartreuse saddles for the tail.
  3. Wrap a chartreuse UV Polar Chenille collar at the front of the shank, then whip finish and connect the shank to the stinger hook.
  4. Restart the thread on the hook and tie in another layer of lime/olive bucktail belly and back, building bulk and profile, with more firetiger flash and gold Angelina fibre along the sides.
  5. Over the bucktail, tie in olive and chartreuse Nayat (snow runner) as a long flowing wing, top and bottom, for movement and taper.
  6. Add saddle hackles at the sides for a wide profile, then wrap a final UV Polar Chenille collar and stack a short bucktail/Nayat head.
  7. Whip finish, glue a 12 mm predator eye to each side, and finish the head with UV epoxy or two coats of Liquid Fusion.
