Start the thread and build a base, then tie the lead eyes on top of the shank set well back from the eye with figure-eight wraps; add super glue and build a thread base around them so the fly rides hook-point-up.
Move the thread to the bend and tie in an olive marabou tail about twice the shank length, then tie ginger marabou over it so the ginger ends up on the belly when the fly inverts.
Tie the marabou butts down the shank slightly into the bend to prevent fouling and break the tail tips to length.
Tie in two strands of pearl flash per side along the tail, trimmed to about tail length.
Tie in a hackle and a strand of monofilament at the bend, then dub and wrap the body forward to just behind the eyes.
Palmer the hackle forward and counter-wrap the mono rib through it to lock it in; tie off.
Build a thread head behind the eyes, whip finish and cement.
