How to tie it

  1. Start thread at the rear third of the shank and lay a thread base.
  2. Pair four to six white saddle hackles curving outward and bind them as a splayed tail one and a half shank lengths long.
  3. Add flash along both sides of the tail, tapering to the tips.
  4. Sweep a clump of white bucktail down as a belly at the front third and a topping of chartreuse or blue bucktail over the back.
  5. Build a tapered thread head, then set the large stick-on eyes low on each side.
  6. Whip finish and lock the head and eyes under a coat of UV resin or epoxy for durability.
