How to tie it
Lay a thread base on the hook.
Wrap lead from about halfway up the shank toward the front, then wrap thread back over it tightly.
Pull (rather than cut) a clump of soft olive marabou over the top of the lead to give a tapered tail ending about at the hook barb.
Add a clump of olive Flashabou about an eighth of an inch longer than the marabou, then a little more marabou over the top, and trim the butts.
Tie in a length of wire.
Prepare an olive saddle hackle with the dull side up and tie it in along with the olive crystal chenille on the side of the hook at the end of the lead.
Wrap the crystal chenille forward over the materials, leaving plenty of room for the head.
Wrap the hackle forward with even spacing, wrapping over itself at the front so the hackle is thicker there, and tie off.
Counter-wrap the wire through the hackle, being careful not to damage it, then fold the wire over and break it off.
Build a head with the Danville 3/0 mono cord and whip finish.
Stick an eye on each side of the head, put UV glue between the eyes and around the bottom and eyes to seal them, and cure.
